What battery does the clock need?
Most quartz wall and table clocks run on a single AA battery. Check The Details on the product for the battery your clock uses.
Does the clock tick?
That depends on the movement. A sweep movement glides continuously and is virtually silent, which suits bedrooms and quiet spaces. A step movement moves once a second with a soft tick. The product details tell you which one your clock has.
How do I set the time?
Turn the small dial on the back of the movement rather than moving the hands by hand, which can damage the mechanism. Use the same dial when the clocks change for daylight saving.
How do I hang a wall clock safely?
Use a screw or wall anchor rated for the clock’s weight and hang it by the hanger on the back. Avoid adhesive hooks for heavier clocks.
What size clock should I choose?
